# DuckPipe > A serverless-first, DuckDB-native pipeline orchestrator. No scheduler > daemon, no central metadata database required, no broker — a run is > a Python process that starts, does work, records what it did to a > `.duckdb` file, and exits. A Python library, not a platform: `@task`-decorate a plain function, infer dependencies from default-argument values (`def b(x=a)` means `b` depends on `a`), and call `duckpipe.run(module)`. State is a `.duckdb` file next to the pipeline, queryable with plain SQL — no separate UI. A live, runnable playground with no install is linked below. ## Docs - [README.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/README.md): quickstart, install, CLI, the full mental model - [DESIGN.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/DESIGN.md): design rationale and prior-art landscape check - [CHANGELOG.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/CHANGELOG.md): what shipped in each release - [docs/why-duckpipe.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/why-duckpipe.md): the pain points this design responds to - [docs/triggers.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/triggers.md): cron, GitHub Actions, Lambda, webhook recipes - [docs/interop.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/interop.md): embedding a pipeline inside Airflow/Dagster/Prefect - [docs/agent_authored.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/agent_authored.md): the agent writes you a pipeline, plain Python you can review, instead of operating an opaque one on your behalf - [docs/distributed_execution.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/distributed_execution.md): syncing state to remote storage, scoping a run to one task - [docs/ducklake.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/ducklake.md): the opt-in DuckLake observability upgrade (time travel, schema evolution) - [docs/serverless_executor.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/serverless_executor.md): the same distributed-execution primitive, checked across two invocation shapes - [docs/remote_execution.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/remote_execution.md): running unchanged on a bigger remote machine - [docs/browser.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/docs/browser.md): DuckPipe's own source, unmodified, inside a browser tab via Pyodide ## Examples - [examples/README.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/examples/README.md): index of all nine example pipelines, each one facet of DuckPipe - [examples/08_browser_wasm/](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/examples/08_browser_wasm/): try DuckPipe live in a browser tab, no install — checks a file for sensitive-looking columns without ever uploading it ## Optional - [packages/duckpipe-tuning/README.md](https://woozyking.github.io/duckpipe/packages/duckpipe-tuning/README.md): separate, optional package suggesting host-spec-based settings, one module per engine (DuckDB, Polars, Dask, Daft) - [AGENTS.md](https://github.com/woozyking/duckpipe/blob/main/AGENTS.md): setup/test/lint commands and conventions, for an agent proposing a code change
